The Thursdaze Messages
No real reason to post them, but some of these amused me, and it IS my page, so...
Thursdaze Gamer
Monday's gamer is best with a mace;
Tuesday's gamer dies with grace;
Wednesday's gamer draws wife agro;
Thursdaze gamer has beers that flow;
Friday's gamer loves solving and healing;
Saturday's gamer works hard at the killing;
But the gamer that plays on the seventh day
Gets all phat loot and xp, so they say
Thursdaze Will Roll You
Buddy you're a cube, make a big noise
Rolling on the board, gonna get a big score some day
You got one on your face
You big disgrace
Killing your toon all over the place
We will We will roll you!
We will We will roll you!
Buddy you're a new die, shiny die
Brandished at the group, gonna take on a Boss some day
You got one on your face
You big disgrace
Wiffing your weapon all over the place
We will We will roll you!
We will We will roll you!
Buddy you're an old die, poor die
Pleading from your gamer, gonna get you some hits some day
You got one on your face
You big disgrace
Somebody better put you back into your case.
Let's Do The Thursdaze Again!
It's astounding, life is fleeting
Fredman makes his roll
He misses closely, won't live for much longer
He's got to kill that troll
I remember doing the Thursdaze
Drinking and munching when
The Bobgoblins would hit me and the cleric would be healing
Let's do the Thursdaze again...
Let's do the Thursdaze again!
It's just a roll to the left
And then a stab to the right
With your hands on your dice
You bring your beer in tight
But it's the Fred-roll that really drives you insane,
Let's do the Thursdaze again!
Thursdazers
If there's mobs to slay
in your neighborhood
What ya gonna roll?
THURSDAZERS
If you need mad skillz
and it don't look good
What ya gonna roll?
THURSDAZERS
I ain't afraid of no ones
I ain't afraid of no Freds
If you're seeing loot
guarded by undead
What can ya roll?
THURSDAZERS
A chuckling Hutt
Filling you with dread
What ya gonna roll?
THURSDAZERS
I ain't afraid of no ones
I ain't afraid of no Freds
Thursdaze Thursdaze
Thursdaze, Thursdaze, and there's no fee
Thursdaze moanin', it was all I expected it would be
Oh Thursdaze pourin',
Thursdaze pourin' could guarantee
That Thursdaze evenin' there would still be beer for me
Thursdaze, Thursdaze, we get to play
Thursdaze, Thursdaze, Starwars is the game for today
Oh Thursdaze moanin' 'bout the rules and how they will be
Oh Thursdaze, Thursdaze, rulez, schmulez, who really cares,
fun is how it will be
Every other daze, (every other daze)
Every other daze of the week is fine, (yo)
But whenever Thursdaze comes,
(but whenever Thursdaze comes)
You can find us dicin' all of the time
Oh Thursdaze, Thursdaze, won't go away
Thursdaze, Thursdaze, it's here to stay
The Thursdaze Wind
The Thursdaze wind, came blowin in - from across the board
It lingered there, that awful air - like a rotten gourd
All Thursdaze night, we fought a fight - and rolled our curse-ed dice
Two snake eyes, and the Thursdaze Wind
With painted dice, those Thursdaze nights - went flyin by
The game was new, the language blue - don't let me die!
Then softer than, a popping can - one night it crept on out
And we lost air, to the Thursdaze Wind
The autumn wind, and the winter wind - have come and gone
And still the nights, those Thursdaze nights - go on and on
And now our sighs, and streaming eyes - through murk that never ends
That fickle fiend, the Thursdaze Wind
Thursdaze, A New Hype
A long time ago, in a basement far, far away...
It is a period of civil disobediance. Rebel gamers,
complaining from a hidden angst, have won their
first victory against the evil Thursdaze Empire.
During the bitching, Rebel gamers managed to
steal phat loot from the Empire's ultimate
weapon, the D&D Module, a scripted game
adventure with enough verbage to destroy an
entire mind. Pursued by the Empire's sinister
Jonnibonos, parched gamers race to the keg with
empty mugs, custodian of the golden elixer
that can save their adventures and restore
jocularity to the basement...
Thursdaze is Educational
Some of the useful things we have learned on Thursdaze:
1) What is - and is not - ok to do with your dog
2) The growth on BC's head was in fact NOT a tumor, nor was is a spare head - turned out to be only an ingrown hair thing
3) Fdap - nothing more need be said
4) The serving skills of cheerleaders
5) The strategic importance of the underside of carts
6) The strategic importance of hills
7) The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow
8) The limitations of unmanned urban assault vehicles
9) How many weeks a keg of beer will last
10) How many times in a row Fred can roll one number below that which he needs
Thursdaze Rising
I see the Thursdaze arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see diceshakes and lightnin.
I see beer flowin today.
Do come around tonight,
Well, its bound to take your dice,
Theres a Thursdaze on the rise.
I hear Tholeman atooting.
I know BC is coming to see.
I fear D2 ninja looting.
I hear the voice of FRB.
Do come around tonight,
Well, its bound to take your dice,
Theres a Thursdaze on the rise.
All right!
Hope John got his things together.
Hope Bob's friend is quite prepared to die.
Looks like were in Fredless weather.
Although Rick may again come by.
Do come around tonight,
Well, its bound to take your dice,
Theres a Thursdaze on the rise.
The Hour Before Thursdaze
'Twas the hour before Thursdaze, and all through the den
Not a die it was rolling, not even a ten.
The beermugs were stacked on the kegger with care,
In hopes that thirsty gamers soon would be there;
The puters were booted, all network lights green,
While versions of vid-games danced on their screen;
And Fred behind DM screen, and I with my sheets,
Had just settled down to discuss how Chris cheats,
When out on the drive there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the front door I tripped and stumbled,
Pulled open the door, then shuddered and grumbled.
When, what to my watering eyes should appear,
But a sporty new car, made this model year,
With a mostly bald driver, so grumpy to see,
I knew in a moment it must be BC.
More rapid than turtles, other gamers they came,
And he chuckled, and belched, and called them by name;
'Now, D2! now, Monkey! now, Johnboy and Fredman!
On, DC! on FRB! on, Skywraith and Tholeman!
To the bottom of the stairs! to the end of the hall!
Now drink away! gas away! Roll the dice all!'
Thursdaze Mash
I was working on the laptop late one night
When my eyes beheld a weekly sight
For the beers from the keg began to rise
And suddenly to my surprise
They did the mash
They did the monster mash
The monster mash
It was a gaming smash
They did the mash
It caught on in a flash
They did the mash
They did the monster mash
From my basement in the condo east
To the plex-topped table where there's munchie feast
The gamers all came with there lucky dice
To get phat lute and and to level up - nice!
They did the mash
They did the monster mash
The monster mash
It was a graveyard smash
They did the mash
It caught on in a flash
They did the mash
They did the monster mash
The gamers were having fun
The adventure had just begun
The guests included Beldak
Derek and Ivannah
The dice were shakin', all were digging the rolls
Fred getting ones, Bob kept on with the criticals
The missing gamers were about to arrive
With their vocal group, "The Aurion Five"
They played the mash
They played the monster mash
The monster mash
It was a graveyard smash
They played the mash
It caught on in a flash
They played the mash
They played the monster mash
